Cebu Pacific Introduces Revisions to Luggage Regulations

Cebu Pacific Introduces Expanded Choices in Luggage Regulations

On Monday, the budget airline Cebu Pacific unveiled enhanced alternatives for its check-in baggage regulations in anticipation of the upcoming holiday season. Passengers are now permitted to bring up to three pieces of luggage, offering increased flexibility.

According to a statement released by Cebu Pacific, travelers can opt for check-in baggage allowances of 20 kilograms, 24 kilograms, 28 kilograms, or 32 kilograms under the revamped policy.

Previously, the airline restricted passengers to checking in a maximum of two pieces of luggage, with weight allowances of either 20 kilograms or 32 kilograms.

Candice Iyog, the Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer at Cebu Pacific, explained, “We revised our baggage policy to empower passengers with greater flexibility over their baggage allowances at more affordable rates compared to current airport charges.” She further noted, “This adjustment could assist our customers in reducing their expenses and facilitate a quicker bag drop process at the airport.”

Cebu Pacific has successfully returned to profitability in the first quarter of 2023, and the airline plans to expand its fleet by incorporating 11 additional aircraft later this year.
